To be completely honest I've had quite a lot of difficulty adjusting to the finnish climate. Yet I still refuse to be restricted by the weather, and I went to the beach. Beach days in Finland are very different from the stereotypical picture you might see in your head, even in mid summer when the weather is supposed to be the hottest of the year. Here are pictures from my favorite beach in the world, in the southernmost summer city of Finland, Hanko. It's got a lovely Scandinavian vibe to it and it always inspires me a lot. I've also been practicing photography a bit so I hope you enjoy these shots!
I have summed up here with pictures the things I'll miss most about Singapore when I'm gone. I think I left my heart in Singapore, but I hope it will follow me to Finland soon enough.
1. One of the last truly asian lunches in a while and we went for pad thai and pinepple fried rice, yum! 2. Obviously we had to do the most touristy things in Singapore and go up to Marina Bay, so here's the view from the-less-cliche side. 3. The orchard gateway tunnel was open and I loved the view from up there. 4. A proper expat brunch with pancakes, bacon and omelette, it had to be done!
1. Visiting sentosa and I can't believe I'm still surprised by how nice it actually is out there. 2. Went to a spanish restaurants with this clique, nothing like being obnoxious expats at Sentosa. 3. Visiting the new condo my family is moving to and I love how it looks so english. 4. I made myself gluten-free bread and to everyone's surprise it actually looked decent and like an actual bread.
A few days ago I went to a "photoshoot" with my family to get some memories from our time together in Singapore as well as pictures to use as my official graduation pictures. I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome so I decided to share some of those pictures with you :) I adore the fact that they're in the botanical gardens and have a really natural and real feel in them, so I enjoyed the photoshoot and the end product a lot.

With graduation gone and high school out of the way, I'm feeling a bit empty and useless. What do I do with my time now that I don't have to wake up at 7 am every morning and spend the majority of my day sitting around? Obviously I can shop, hangout, sleep and eat more freely than ever and as much as I want to. Gladly I have had something productive to do with my time as well: I've had my first proper job working as a retail assistant at Esprit with 10hour shifts; it was quite the challenge for a first timer working in retail. Now I also got an internship with Seven Inch Stilettos, an amazing singaporean fashion blog, which has been keeping me busy for the past few days. It's literally the perfect job for me, I have the reigns on the social media where I get to make updates of the blog and post links to exciting fashion news and new music among other things. Soon enough I will be on my way back to Finland as well, where I will be helping out with renovating our new summer house. Anyway, here are pictures of my graduation day for you to enjoy and me to cry over since I will never be a high school senior ever again.
And here's a few selfies... I couldn't help myself, I'm not even sorry.
So the day is almost here *dramatic drumroll* graduation! I really don't have the feeling that I have the age nor the wisdom to be ready for this. It's somehow silly how all I have done in the past 18 years leads up to this one moment where I shake the principals hand and get like 20 seconds of fame after walking back into the crowd with the rest of the 200 others graduates. I'm completely pumped though, and cannot wait for the day to come. All the preparations for the day have been done; got my dress, my shoes, the graduation gown and the mani pedi appointments booked. Here are pictures of my shenanigans before The Day.
Loved the Marimekko collection at Banana Republic, they used some of my fave prints and made them into very wearable and casual pieces of clothing

Yesterday me and four of my friends took an exciting road trip around western Singapura. We visited lots of different farms and markets like veggie, frog and goat farms while blasting the music loud with our windows open. I got that real feeling of freedom and it felt amazing for a change. Later we went to a horse race at a club and then we went to pick up dinner and headed back home. We had spent 5 hours just driving around and overall it was an amazing day, soaking up the last bits of Singapore before we all go our own ways.
Finally able to take selfies, it's been too long!
